AI FDE returns HTTP 500 even for a simple prompt in a new session

AI FDE repeatedly returns HTTP 500 with errorName “Default:Internal.”

It happens in both an existing session and a brand-new session.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new AI FDE session.

  2. Send: Reply “OK” without using tools or changing any resources.

  3. Receive “Internal Error” instead of a response.

I experienced this with GPT-5.6 Sol in both Smart (Extra high) and Balanced (Medium) settings.

Is this a known issue, and what troubleshooting steps should I take? I can provide error instance IDs and enrollment details through an appropriate private support channel.

There was a short outage on 9/9/26 from 21:30 → 22:00 ET. The issue has been resolved and AI FDE should now be working as expected.

I’m not sure if AI FDE is specifically listed, however, there should be a status page that is linked in the support pop out in your enrollment that shows the operational status of most applications in Foundry
