I have a dataset that is very important for me.

Can I get an email notification whenever this dataset builds successfully ?

Hey!

You can do this from the Health Checks application, notifications section, or you can use the Automate application to create a notification on successful builds for this specific dataset.

Did this solution work for you? I am not sure the answer regarding automate is correct. Automate works with Ontology updates and I did not see an options for “whenever backing dataset is updated”. Maybe it’s the when all records update option? Using health checks doesn’t seen right either because those notifications are sent when a health check fails. There is a time since last build health check but it will pass which you typically don’t receive notifications for.

So there is actually a solution with Monitoring view, yes.

You can setup a Monitoring view with one health-check that is “Time since job last succeeded” with a threshold of 30 sec.

You can then configure the monitoring you to notify you on this alert (and remove the “notify on resolution”)

The description of the checks is what you receive via email.

This essentially gets you a notification 30 sec after a dataset built successfully, which for datasets you want to be notified one (likely “irregular building”, so, far from 30 sec) should be fine.
