# Code Repository startup error: Failed to configure git email automatically

I’m trying to start a Foundry code repository and I get this error: “Failed to configure the git email automatically. Please ensure that ‘git.email’ is configured correctly before pushing to Foundry”. I already tried setting git config user.email and user.name manually, and I also checked whether my Foundry profile email is configured, but these approaches are not working. This is happening in the in-platform Code Repositories environment on repository ri.stemma.main.repository.2356d755-ca64-4045-b22c-cd6a00c9b45a. Has anyone seen this before or know what else to check?
