# Diffence btw using Threads & text extraction via Pipeline Builder

Would there be a performance difference between using the threads app and using the pipeline builder for text extraction to utilize the LLM board with the same PDF file?

Threads is currently using Builder’s text extraction so the performance between the two will be the same.
