Editing Objects from Different Ontologies Using Actions

I’m trying to understand if it’s possible to edit an object from a different Ontology using an action without involving a transform. The documentation suggests that Actions can be used to edit objects but doesn’t specify any restrictions regarding the ontology of the objects. Can anyone clarify or provide guidance on this?

There are no plans to support action types which produce edits for objects in another ontology. The action type should either be moved to the same ontology as the object type, or both the action type and the object type should be moved to a shared ontology if the reason for separating them to different ontologies is related to namespace/organization permissions.

I assumed, but wanted to check. Thank you!
