# Ontology SDK app with global branch data

I have a global branch that has a different backing dataset for the Ontology. If I switch branches in Workshop, I’m able to interact with this different dataset (non-prod). I’m trying to achieve the same thing with an Ontology SDK app, but unsure how I can point it to use the global branch. Is this even possible?

I see there’s a **`UNSTABLE_DO_NOT_USE_BRANCH`** property in the osdk client. I’m wondering if this is what can be used for this use case. I know it’s marked as beta, but my use case is a one-off thing.

OSDK support for global branching is currently being developed, but not released quite yet!

Are you able to branch yet? I see the ability to do so in the documentation but no branching option is showing in the top right
