Three Associate certifications go live on certification.palantir.com on 3 August: refreshed Data Engineer and Application Developer exams, plus a brand-new AI Engineer exam. All are timed, open-book, multiple-choice exams, valid for two years.
For those who want to go further, Specialist level certifications arrive 1 September. Hands-on, live exams in a real Foundry and AIP environment, delivered by Ontologize, our recognised training partner.
New to the platform? Start with Foundry Aware, the recommended foundation for every new builder. Available now.
The new Associate certification is open-book, but does that include using AI tools? It’s my first time taking a Palantir exam, so I’m not sure where the line is drawn. Could you guide me on what’s allowed
That’s great news. I have a question about the Palantir Foundry Aware certification.
If I understand correctly, the exam is free and not proctored, right?
And you can take it on your own, complete it at your own pace (within 120 min), and retake it as many times as needed. Is that correct?
How does this compare with the other Palantir certification exams?
Also, what level of preparation is expected for the Foundry Aware exam? For example, if I have completed all five Speedruns, would that normally be enough, or should I complete the Deep Dives as well?
The Associate exams are now live on certification.palantir.com!

Please note that previous Certification voucher codes will not be valid for the new exams. Please reach out to your Palantir POC for a new code. If you don’t have a Palantir POC because you are e.g. using a Dev Tier account, please file a Foundry issue from your Foundry environment.
