Hey there,

I’ve been playing around with the new widget set feature, I’ve created a custom widget and published a version I want to use in a workshop application, but I don’t seem to see a way to actually import my custom widget into workshop?

http://palantir.com/docs/foundry/custom-widgets/embedding-in-workshop/

These docs suggest I should be able to see an option in workshop to add custom widgets but I don’t see this on my enrolment. Am missing something?

This is actually a fairly new feature that should be arriving to your stack very soon. Once it’s available, you’ll find it as a ‘Custom Widget’ widget in that location.

I also noticed the same thing – while the Widget Sets have been available under Applications in Control Panel for a few weeks now (flagged as experimental), however I haven’t been able to access those ‘Custom Widget’ workshop widgets either.

I am experiencing the same issue. I have updated the settings under Control Panel, but I still can’t find “Custom Widget” in Workshop. It seems I might just have to wait a bit longer.

By the way, what’s the difference between the “Custom Widget” option and adding a custom widget via iframe?

Trying to install custom widget developed outside Foundry and when I try to upload the zip file I get an error: Error evaluating zip file: Unable to retrieve version from manifest file. Please make sure my\_custom\_app/.palantir/widgets.config.json contains a version field.

I have checked the json and it includes base and widget level version.

Is there an example available of the expected .palantir/widgets.config.json format?
