AIP Agents and time-series data

Hey, has anyone had luck creating an AIP Agent that understands/is able to work with time-series data?

I have an AIP Agent that I’ve pointed to an Object Type with TSP property. But it doesn’t seem to know how to handle the time-series data… AI FDE recommends either:

a) Write a Function to unpack the time-series into points

b) Export time-series to a Dataset and then expose to AIP Agent as a new Object Type

Question - does AIP Agent natively understand time-series data? or do I need to give it some tools or dedicated Dataset/Object with time-series?
