Hello all,
I’m looking for a way to bypass the Data Connection and Source setup (I do not have the rights to create new ones) to upload data to Foundry, but it the most automatic way possible.
I’ve been looking into Power Automate Desktop automation to replicate a manual upload, but it cannot work when my computer is off.
Any ideas?
The main question is “Where is the data you want to upload”.
You can push data via APIs to Foundry (via API, via the S3-API, via manual drag and drop in the UI … ) but they will all require something to handle upload (when, what, with which credentials, etc. to upload).
Sources and syncs are made for this exact purpose. They handle credentials, state management, upload, connectivity to the source system, egresses, … so I would rather advice to get in touch with the persons who have those permissions in your Foundry enrollment and discuss your use-case with them to let you create a source or to create one for you (you can have the permission to edit an existing source, as it is a project resource, without having the permission to create new ones).
