I saw the recent announcement about bulk updating of submission criteria. That’s great news. One similar suggestion is to add the ability to bulk update the object role permissions across a workflow of object types. We are constantly having to do that and it’s annoying, because its so many clicks.
Just so I understand correctly, you are talking about the “Object type roles” section in the “Security” tab of an object type in Ontology Manager, right?
Would you be okay with a mechanism like the action submission criteria, where you can copy the information from one object type to a set of other object types, or would you prefer something different, where you pick a set of users/groups and their corresponding roles, then save that for all the selected object types?
yes, that’s what I’m talking about.
And my preference would be to highlight like 10+ actions, OTs, etc. and apply the Ontology Roles to all of them in 1 go (assuming I’m owner on all those ontology things). For example, we have a group that we now want to apply to a production workflow, but there are 100+ object types and actions, so its going to take a long time and a lot of clicking to update the ontology roles on all these things.
