Slate has a Calendar widget to render time and/or date based events in a calendar overview grouped by month, week or day. It would be great to have such a widget in Workshop to natively display events, allow selection, filtering and interaction, e.g. to render or adjust a production schedule or training schedule.
Workaround: Embed a Slate App module in a Workshop module and send the data back and forth between the two apps. Disadvantage is the cumbersome back and forth exchange of data flowing between the two apps and the different style (look & feel) of the two apps.
Also on a monthly view the boxes look jammed up. Is it possible to make the calendar expand vertically with flex? For example only 2 -3 objects fit in a box before its unreadable, we are trying to fit 7-8 objects / day on a monthly calendar.
Lastly is it possible to drag and drop objects to edit timestamps like an in-line edit action? That would really help our team schedule critical events efficiently.
We have figured out how to change the increments on the daily and weekly calendars but my concern was with flexing the size so everything in the month is visible.
We really like the Calendar widget in Workshop, however, we perceive there’s ways to make it even better.
In the Month view, it overflows the pucks beyond 3. For our use-case, showing at least 5 would be best, or as many as will fit on the screen. We could have upwards of 20+ pucks (20+ is more applicable to day and week views)
Extended the Hide Time functionality within layers to include options for hiding time in the day and week views
In the Week view, the range displayed is in months Ex: Dec 2025 - Jan 2026; it would be nice if this instead showed the start and end dates for the week Ex: Dec 28, 2025 - Jan 3, 2026
In the Month view, show only days in the current Month Ex: Some Jan 2026 dates are visible when viewing Dec 2025; feature update would only show Dec 2025 dates.
Example of pucks stopping at 3 per day in Month view.
