Can I create an Object Type in an Ontology, with a backing dataset in the non-corresponding namespace?

I have multiple organizations, each with their own Ontology. (e.g. A_namespace, A_Ontology, B_namespace, B_Ontology …)
I also have a shared namespace and its Ontology, where multiple orgs can collaborate. (e.g. shared_namespace, shared_ontology)

Can I have a backing dataset stored in a project belonging to A_namespace that backs an Object belonging to shared_ontology ?
The opposite ?
More generally: Do backing dataset namespace location influences in which Ontology I can create my Objects ?

Hi @VincentF ,

Yes, as of July 2024 you can have a setup with backing dataset stored in a project belonging to A_namespace that backs an Object belonging to shared_ontology.

In general, no backing dataset namespace location does not restrict your choice of Ontology within which you would create your Object Type.
