Connection to cloud-based SQL server

Hi everyone - I am new to Palantir and after completing the training “Speedrun: Creating Your First Data Connection”, I tried to connect Plantir Foundry to our cloud-based SQL server which is hosted in Hyper V virtual machine. I have not been successful so far and these are the attempts I have made. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  1. Using direct connection by providing the DNS, username, password. I confirmed that I was registered as the information security officer in the control panel and I made sure that the necessary egress policies were approved. It did not work.

  2. Using agent. I could not download and install it though.

  3. Checking the Palantir documentation. It seems that there is a Palantir ODBC driver that can be installed but it is only for unidirectional connection to retrieve Palantir datasets only.

  4. Checking on other sites and YouTube but could not find any helpful guidance.
