Data Linage - Include Agent upstream of Data Source

Small Request here…

As a Data Adminstrator i would like to be able to navigate from the datasource to the upstream referenced agents within the linage view.

This would enable

  • easier support for agent outages and migrations
  • quick impact analysis of outage windows
  • quick understanding of any datasource weakness or lack of redundancy

This is definitely something we should add, especially after recently adding egress policies on the lineage graph upstream of sources that use them for direct connections.

We’ll get back to you when we have more to share on this, thanks for the suggestion and upvotes.

Hi @mikem, we’ve added agents to the lineage view!

The feature is currently rolling out and you should be able to see the connections between data sources and agents within Data Lineage soon.
