Default Bearing on Foundry Map

Hello,

Is there anyway to set a default bearing on a Foundry map?

I have a Foundry map in a workshop which auto-zooms to my objects but always due North. Due to what I am showing, Users have to manually rotate the view by 90 degrees every time they open the workshop. It would be great if I could have 90 degrees as the default bearing.

Thanks.

I believe you can do this by creating a Map Template (in the Map Application Template widget app) with the map bearing adjusted. You can do this by going to the Maps App, creating your map, adjusting the bearing, and then following these steps to save it as a template. Then, you can add a Maps widget in Workshop, and instead of “Local configuration“ select your template with “Import map template.“

For me that was able to work.

Thank you for this. I have been able to create a template which opens on the same bearing as it is saved.

However, now I cannot have my polygons’ colour based on a function. Originally it was because the map was using tile-based loading but now it doesn’t like my input variable. I can’t even select an input to attempt to make it work so it only ever shows the below. I know the function works because it worked on my map that wasn’t a template.
