Do you need a license to use RStudio in Foundry or is it readily available?
Hi @carlenek . You’re correct in that you will need a licence from Posit. Full details in the Admin docs.
Can users use a vanilla R from the terminal interface within Code Workspace?
In order to use RStudio in Foundry, you need to have a valid license and to provide this license in Control Panel.
During the license setup, you will be asked (as of today) to send an email to a specific email adress, which is intended for Palantir and Posit to validate your license.
Once provided and if the license if valid, you will be able to use RStudio in Code Workspace.
You can still use R - as a language - in Code Workbook without license, as the license is about RStudio and not R.
Oh, I meant the plain R and not the paid RStudio.
Corrected my answer !
You are right, you can use R in Code workbook without the RStudio license.
