Hello, I have documented below the steps to either mine a process (steps 1-2-3) or implement a new process (1-4-5), let us know if you have any further questions.

Hey Jaafar, thanks for the reply. Thing is that there’s still a lot of deviation with respect to the training material of "Deep Dive: Mining your first business process. " Which has made it not possible for me to edit the configuration.

Can you please guide me on the same.

Hi, unfortunately the training material is out of date right now. We will remove that content.

Please could you give some detail on what issue you are experiencing when you say “Which has made it not possible for me to edit the configuration.”?

Like I tried making a separate ontology object for Claim Logs Dataset but am not getting errors on trying to mine configuration

Hey Oli, thanks for the reply - like the tutorial wants me to upload a dataset, but following the above steps I’ve only been able to select an object type. Would be awesome if you could help me with the steps I should follow just for Mining the Process Section.

Hi

In step three of Jaafar’s screenshots above, you can configure your process object type which represents the entity moving through the process. Then you can install a log object type using the “install log object type” option below:

That will give you a dialog that lets you select your changelog datasource to create the log object type:

I hope that helps. For further guidance on using the product, I’d recommend following the public documentation: https://www.palantir.com/docs/foundry/machinery/overview
