I have lots of pages and widgets in my Workshop app. Workshop clearly shows me whether I have unused widgets and what their labels are but I struggle to locate them in the layout view. Is there a way of locating them or can this “locate” feature be added?
By nature of being “unused”, these widgets will not be in the standard layout view. We have a convenience button to delete all unused widgets at the bottom of the layout panel, and you can also add unused widgets from the rightmost tab in the add widget dialog.
It does seem like there is no way to preview unused widgets without adding them to the module so I will make note of that request.
Yes, sorry, I think thats what I was thinking. Not “locate” but “view”. Before I safely remove an unused widget, I would like to see what was in it, somehow. Thanks!
@evanj I missed that one can drop unused widgets back in the module somewhere via the widgets pane where the unused widget can then be viewed, so I think this is good enough for me, thanks.
