Easy question regarding Markings: what is the difference between a black and a white marking

In my account >> settings >> markings I can see a lot of markings, however, some are black and some are white. What is the difference here?

The overview of my requested data accesses shows no open requests. Thus, all data access requests seem to be approved.

Markings for which you are a member (= have access to resources protected by the marking) have a black background; markings for you are not a member have a white background. Note that you can have administrative permissions on a marking but still not be a member (though you may be able to make yourself a member at-will, depending on which administrative permissions you have!)
