Hi team - it would be immensely valuable to us to be able to record audios out of a widget in workshop / foundry. We would like to record therapy sessions, transcribe them, and generate structured notes to write back to our EHR. can you please advise on how we might be able to record an audio out of foundry?
Great question! We don’t currently have a widget for this (We’re working on it), but it has been done in other industries already using OSDK to create a react app that records the audio and sends it to foundry to be transcribed, processed and then formatted using AIP into structured notes.
Tiger - do you have an ETA for when this widget will be complete? this seems like a lot of custom work for something that we inherently want to be embedded into the foundry application.
I’ve just had the audio recording widget added to our instance of Foundry (22nd Oct) so potentially may now be available for you to! Might be worth a look if you didn’t manage to solve it another way
We’ve released the Audio Recorder widget and it should be available to you now! You can now record audio, listen back to the recording and save it to a media set within your Workshop apps. As the audio is saved directly to the media set, you can run processing (e.g. transcription) in your pipelines as usual. This feature is currently in beta and improvements will be rolled out over time.
We’d love to hear any feedback for this widget if you decide to try it out!
