Expanding the tutorials in Palantir Learning

The tutorials on the Palantir Learning page are really good, especially the end to end speedrun and self-guided learning, but I need to get in more practice reps to become fluent building on the platform. I’m a big time believer in gamifying learning to keep users engaged, and the fictional scenarios and datasets do just that. I tried to generate interesting datasets with ChatGPT but it is really frustrating to make anything complex, and same frustrations using the data generator inside the Data Connection app.

The following could expand Palantir Learning to create more public interest in the developer tier, show-off lesser known or new capabilities, and demonstrate how the platform solves problems at every scale from gigantic corporations to small businesses to personal/hobby projects:

  • Tutorials with progressing levels of difficulty & complexity
  • Debugging tutorials
  • 3rd party tutorials
  • How to integrate Build with AIP modules into your projects
  • Challenges to rate user proficiency or earn certificates
  • Public competitions with cash prizes similar to Kaggle
  • LOTR-themed defense tech tutorials (especially if Middle Earth can be loaded into the Map app)

That’s all I got for now, keep up the great work!

Hi @crackyflipside - thank you for your detailed feedback on training content! Our trainings are constantly evolving and we plan on releasing more Deep Dives and Self-Guided Projects in the coming months, as well as Training Tracks based around user personas like ‘Data Engineer.’

In terms of certifications, we do have an active Certification Program via certification.palantir.com, with preparation materials here https://learn.palantir.com/page/exam-guides. These are robust exams designed for users with more Foundry experience.
