External embedding Authentication

Hello! I’ve got an external application authentication question.

Context: We are working with an external to Foundry website which supports authentication via SSO with OAuth, google authenticator, DUO and regular usernames and passwords that are stored in the system. We are going to be embedded Foundry via an IFrame and/or the OSDK.

Questions: Is there a way through those authentication methods to simultaneously have the user authenticate into the Foundry stack so that there isn’t a double login experience? If not with that authentication, what authentication types would support this flow?

Thanks in advance,
Paul Burns

Hi Paul,

In Control Panel, you can set a particular authentication provider to be the default for each of your Foundry hosts. This way, when a user visits Foundry they will be automatically redirected to the default authentication provider for that host. From the user’s perspective they might notice a quick redirect, but it should be pretty seamless!
