When you’re viewing automations you see the Name, Condition, Status and Creator.
The owner of an automation is more meaningful than the creator, since it impacts on the automation (it uses their permissions). By contrast the creator of an automation has no effect on how it runs, nor on who can edit it.
Either display both the owner and the creator in separate columns, or if you are only going to pick one then I think displaying the owner is more informative.
In the screenshot shown, all 4 automations are owned by the Employee Automation 3rd-party user, but that is not immediately clear for the middle 2.
Shows a “Creator” column, but the creator has no functional impact: it doesn’t affect how the automation runs or who can edit it.
The owner is what actually matters: automations execute using the owner’s permissions, so if the owner loses access to a resource, the automation breaks.
Right now, “Set Review Date for New Hires” and “Deactivate Employee” both show YOU as creator, which makes them look like his automations. But all 4 are actually owned by the Employee Automation service account, something you can only discover by opening each one individually.
Fix: Add an Owner column to the table. Ideally show both Owner and Creator as separate columns, with Owner listed first since it’s the operationally relevant field. If only one column is feasible, Owner should take priority over Creator.
