Filter and search timeline widget in workshop

Is there a way to filter and/or search through the timeline widget in workshop similar to how it can be done in Hubble?

The Timeline widget is populated by an an object set variable. Like other workshop widgets - charts, tables, object lists - the general pattern is to use the various filter widgets to create a filter variable, which is then applied to the object set variable backing the timeline visualization.

If you want behavior similar to Object Explorer - at least if you’re referring to the search bar filtering - then you can use the Exploration Search Bar widget to create that experience.

Depending on the experience you’re looking to create, I might consider using a horizontal chart of some kind to display an aggregated “timeline” of the data in question along with an Exploration Search Bar. The Chart can provide intuitive time range filtering - the user can, for instance, drag to draw a box around a date range and have that populate an output filter, and the Search Bar allows for completely flexible filter definition without giving screen space to a dedicated Filter List. The output filter variables from those two widgets could both be applied to the Timeline widget input object set variable, which would serve as a “detail” view of the resulting events.

In this case the object set contains multiple object types so it doesn’t seem I can use “Exploration Search Bar”. What I’d really like is to make an object set with the 10 or so objects and have them all populated in the timeline and then the user can select to remove some of the object types from the object set. This is possible in Hubble.
