I raised an issue a while ago: Improvements to Ontology Information via Foundry API - Product Feedback - Palantir Developer Community
I wanted to ask what the current state is on this since we are slowly running into certain limitations of usability.
We do have a huge ontology with several hundred object types resulting from a time where multi-ontology setups weren’t that well support as today.
Since the migration to the new ontology permission, the visibility of the metadata does not depend on source access any longer. However, we would like to only expose the object types to the user that are accessible for them (they can query something) and also check whether a user has resource access to an object type. With the current setup, this is not possible.
A mitigation for this would’ve been to filter for object type groups which cluster the use cases (object types are re-used in a multitude of usecases). Unfortunately, this information is also not available.
Are there plans to improve this?
