Foundry resources with Tableau Data Extracts

Hi,

I’m using Tableau Data Extracts. . I would like to know how much Tableau Data Extracts uses Foundry resources (especially compute).

Would you tell me Tableau Data Extracts uses Foundry resources?
Can I check how much I used from the Resource manager?

Any usage associated with Tableau Data Extracts is going to depend on the complexity of the query used for the extract and the scale of data. You can read more about Foundry SQL Server which is the foundry service powering BI tool integrations here, but if a query is simple and doesn’t require SQL compute, Foundry SQL server will stream records directly into the dataset, which would not generate any observable compute in the resource management app. If the query however does run through the spark engine, then you’ll be able to observe compute attributed to the output dataset via the resource management app.
