How can I paste images to notepad?

I can’t paste images to note@ad.(e.g. get screenshot and ctrl+V )
So I need to save image file, and drag&drop the image file to notepad instead of using paste.
Do you have any insights on how to solve this problem?

  • can paste in word or other files.
  • can paste text to notepad
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro
  • Not virtual enviroment

Hi @Orita ,

  • This could be an issue with Checkpoints, the service that does check data when getting in/out of Foundry: https://www.palantir.com/docs/foundry/checkpoints/configure-checkpoints
    I would have a look there to see if there’s anything that is not configured as intended.
  • Is this happening only for you specifically? With any internet browser?
  • It could be helpful to send a screenshot of what happens in the network tab of the developer console (https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools/open) both when you drag & drop, as well as during copy paste; for example, when I do a copy paste it it looks like so:

You mean this issue is due to check point, right?

  • Is this happening only for you specifically? With any internet browser?
    My colleague is also in the same situation.
    We face this problem in both Edge and Chrome.

It could be helpful to send a screenshot of what happens in the network tab of the developer console
I can confirm some comments when I pasted in Notepad.
However I can’t share you the image due to security alert.

So we share it as text(sorry for incovinient).

  • Text from Word Yes convertContent
  • Text from OneNote No NA
  • Text from Outlook(main message) Yes convertContent
  • Text from Outlook(subject) Yes NA
  • Text from Edge Yes convertContent
  • Text from Chrome Yes convertContent
    Images from all source can’t paste and no message in Developer console

Learning point is

  • We can’t paste text from OneNote
  • We can paste subject from Outlook, but there are no meassage in Developer console

Do I understand right that you can paste an image coming from outlook but not from OneNote? If so, this issue might be coming from OneNote that does not let you copy the image itself?

No, we can’t paste image from both Outlook and OneNote.
Images from all source can’t paste and no message in Developer console.
So I don’t think the root cause is OneNote.

The difference between Outlook and OneNote is to paste text.
OneNote: No
Outlook: Yes (But it is No about text in subject)
