How do I change my username/email address (AIP Dev Tier)

I tried to change the email address for my AIP Dev Tier account, but this is locked in Control Panel. How do I change it, or who can I reach out to?

Hi @Joel ,

I’m afraid it’s not currently possible to change the registered email address in Developer Tier.

What you can do is create a new user on your DevTier with your new email address and grant that user the same permissions as your old user. Be sure to update the contact information in Control Panel as well.

If you loose access to your DevTier and your old email, we may not be able to help restore access, as you won’t be using the original email address you signed up with. If this is important you would need to create a new Developer Tier account with a different email address and phone number.

I tried that, but the new account with the new email address needed a second phone number for authentication. Is there a way to change out my phone number first to something like 000-000-0000 and then add my new email?

Hi @Joel ,

It needs to be a valid phone number as part of the sign up process. There is currently no way to change the phone number you registered with. Do you have access to a second phone number?
