I’m working in a Python Functions repository using Foundry’s hosted VS Code workspace. I successfully generated a PowerPoint file at outputs/presentation.pptx, but I’m having trouble exporting it.
The workspace status shows “Active (restricted outputs).”
Here’s what I’ve encountered:
-
The file has no Download option in the VS Code Explorer.
-
Attempts to create a dataset and upload the file fail with
FoundryContainerService:EndpointDisabledForContainers. -
The Code Workspaces security documentation describes a Restricted outputs mode toggle in workspace Settings, but I cannot find it.
-
I checked Preferences, Security approvals, and Advanced features. Advanced features only shows Functions preview, which is enabled.
-
The workspace status dropdown only contains pause, restart, checkpoint, and log controls.
Is restricted outputs mode configurable in a Python Functions VS Code workspace, or is it enforced for this workspace type?
If it is configurable, where is the supported control, and what permissions are required? Also, does EndpointDisabledForContainers result from this mode, or is it a separate endpoint limitation?
My immediate goal is to download the generated .pptx file. What is the supported workflow for exporting a generated binary from this environment?
