I need to create a 'training' environment that duplicates what is in production

Trying to find the best way to create basically a duplication of applications in production to use for training. I want users to be able to go to workshops and use all the actions without affecting production data.

I asked AI FDE on options and the best option was to create a global branch, which seems to work but curious if there were better options others have been using.
