Issue with Egress Policy in "Creating Your First Data Connection" Course

Hi Everyone,

I’m currently working through the Data Engineer track on Palantir’s learning platform and have encountered an issue. Specifically, I’m stuck on the “Data Connection: Step 6 - Egress Policy” section of the “Creating Your First Data Connection” course.

When I attempt to request a new policy using the address provided in the module, the status remains “Pending approval” and never progresses. This is preventing me from moving forward in the course, as I am unable to access the “Explore Source” tab. When I try, I receive a configuration error. Additionally, when I generate an AIP explanation, the system notes that “the egress policies for the source have not been correctly configured” and asks me to add a policy to the configuration file—however, I don’t have access to this file.

Any help or guidance on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

This means that you (the user who requested the egress policy) doesn’t have permissions to approve the egress policy. This is done in Control Panel, and the Information Security Officer role in the enrollment has the permission to approve.
