Lightweight Pipeline Builder on Dev Tier

Is there any way to enable lightweight pipelines in Pipeline Builder on the developer tier?

Lightweight Pipelines are currently in Beta. As per this Topic please get in touch with Support to enquire about enabling Beta products on your DevTier.

Thanks for the response. However since the thread you linked there has been a new feature released on Foundry to allow users to switch the platform version. I am using the beta version and so would expect to be able to access lightweight pipelines, but unfortunately it is still not available.

You might still have to contact Palantir Support as per the topic michael linked above, but if you have access to the Control Panel application, you can turn on Lightweight pipelines there:

Are you referring to this announcement? This is slightly different, although still a great update. It will allow access to features for existing applications that have just been released (but may be less stable) vs new Applications that are in the Beta stage of the Product Lifecycle. Appreciate this distinction may be a little blurry as in this case.

NB, you will need to have asked support to enable Beta products for you before you’ll be able to see Beta Platform Version.

Yes that’s right and thanks for the clarification. I do have access to other products in Beta such as AIP Threads mentioned in the linked topic, but for Pipeline Builder I’m not able to enable the functionality via the control panel settings as it appears to be restricted on the Dev Tier. In any case, it sounds like the solution is to contact a Palantir representative.

@michaelt I think there is a subtly different thing going on here as it’s not strictly a separate Beta product (like eg AIP Threads). The Pipeline Builder settings that @helenq referred to with her screenshot are locked behind an “ENTERPRISE” label on Dev Tier enrollments’ Control Panels (see screenshot). Given that the only two options on that page are those two toggles, I wonder if it would be acceptable for someone at Palantir to enable that settings page for Dev Tier enrollments?

You can contact Palantir Support to unlock this for you. Just ask them to open up Beta products.
