Moving an Ontology object between Marketplace products

Hello,

I need some advice on how to move an object from one Marketplace product to another.

When I remove the object from the original product and upgrade the installation, the output object remains (along with the edits) and is still associated with the original product.

However I am unable have the adopted by the other Marketplace product and deploying this duplicates the objects in the Ontology.

Is there a way or a workaround that will enable us to have the Objects deployed by the other product. Adopted / assigned to the new product?

@taylor Experienced this at all?

We’re using Marketplace/DevOps more and more to maintain environment separation - loving the tooling - and also share this pain point.

This is a fascinating question. I’m not sure I have a good answer.

Is your Product deployed in Bootstrap or Production mode?

I’ll give it some more thought, but I have a hunch this might not be possible today.

Bootstrap, Production, and we use Singleton (various use cases for each). We haven’t found a good way to move Objects between Projects/Products which results in a painful and unintuitive experience during refactoring.
