What’s the best way to learn Palantir Foundry quickly if you have no tech background?
I’m working on a basic product feedback app using pipelines, ontology, and Workshop, but I’m still struggling with variables, object sets, and how everything connects. For those who learned fast or helped others ramp up:
What helped you understand Foundry the fastest?
Did you focus on Workshop first, or pipelines and ontology?
Any tips or mistakes to avoid?
Looking for advice from others who started with little or no coding experience.

The Speedruns are a great place to start if you haven’t used Foundry or want to do an end-to-end example! There are some deep dives too.
In addition:
Examples (build with AIP) for installable examples of capabilities in the platform and Registry for some end to end workflow examples
Zero coding experience here. Excel pivot tables and Power BI measures were about as far as I ever got.
I was in the same position wanting to learn Foundry fast. What helped me most was picking a real problem I cared about. I built a rental property management workflow in Workshop to help manage a few of my units. It forced me to think clearly about how my data and objects needed to connect, especially starting from scratch.
I focused on Workshop and Ontology Manager first. Building natively in the ontology helped me avoid some of the early frustration with ingestion and transformations. It let me stay focused on building something that worked without getting stuck on technical setup.
Ontology Manager and Workshop are still where I spend most of my time. Once I had a working model, pipelines made a lot more sense.
I agree with others that the speedruns are helpful, but they really click once you’re applying them to something real.
