Trying to get a passkey on my mobile phone so I can log in from other machines. My original passkey only works logging in from my office desktop (Windows 11) and typing in my windows PIN on that desktop.
When I log in Foundry and click on add a passkey in the user settings, it needs a USB security key to proceed but I never set that up initially, I just did Windows PIN. When I try to login remotely, I have an option of using mobile for a device that has the passkey installed, but can’t figure out how to install a new passkey.
Someone who is smarter than me, please help!
Edit: I was able to set up the phone passkey in Foundry through my office desktop after turning on Bluetooth on the desktop and fighting with Windows to set up the passkey to my Windows account, which then had to save to the Google account.
After all that, now I get the following error when trying to use any passkey on my laptop, the office desktop still works fine and I have 2 passkeys registered in Foundry:
“An error occurred during the verification process. Please try again.”
The error happens right after clicking “Use passkey” button in the Authenticate prompt. I can’t attach the screenshot to the post, but the error is in a red text box with white letters at the top of the window.
Edit 2:
It just started working, I didn’t really do anything. Maybe Windows takes a while to register the new passkey. Now I can log in a remote machine with my phone and a computer with a bluetooth connection.
