Read First: How to propose an improvement

Welcome to the Product Feedback category, where you can propose product improvements and new features. Palantir product teams will also use this category to solicit feedback and/or early-adopters for new applications and features.

To submit a suggested product improvement, create a new post, tag the relevant product, and include the following in your description:

  • Give context on the use case / what you’re trying to achieve
  • Explain why you can’t do it today / if there are any work-arounds
  • Explain why this will make a significant difference for you or your business
  • Bonus: provide a demo video to aid in your pitch
  • Note: please remember that this is a public community; do not include any confidential information

Feel free to like or comment on suggestions from other community members to give their ideas a +1!

Disclaimer: There is no guarantee that we will respond to or implement suggestions posted to the Developer Community, but your submissions will all be read and are immensely helpful. Our product teams will combine the signal here with signal from across the company, our customers and our partners to align on plans. We periodically publish a product roadmap that can be shared by your Palantir contact.

Increased Security and Compliance Features

•	Data Anonymization and Masking: Provide built-in tools for data anonymization and masking, ensuring that sensitive information is protected and compliant with regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
•	Fine-grained Access Controls: Expand access control features to allow more detailed and customizable permissions, ensuring that users only see the data they are authorized to access, similar to capabilities in platforms like AWS IAM.

Hi @d21089f7edf9593a4262 ,

Thanks for your suggestions.

Foundry already has comprehensive offerings on both of these topics:

  • Data Anonymization and Masking - Checkout Cipher, Markings and Sensitive Data Scanner.
  • For fine-grained access controls, this is one of the core principles of Foundry. Users can set a number of controls that ensure data is only ever seen by those who are authorized, no matter where a user is in the platform. You can read more in our Security Docs.

If you’d like to propose an improvement to any of these you can start a new topic and follow the steps above.
