Reflecting on Learning Foundry as a Visual Thinker

One of the things I genuinely appreciate about working in Palantir Foundry is how approachable the platform is — even for someone like me who enjoys tech but doesn’t come from a deep coding background.

As a visual learner, I’ve found that the way Foundry is structure. It makes building operational applications far more intuitive than I expected. The UI is logical, the feedback loops are immediate, and once you grasp how the Ontology and pipelines work together, the development experience becomes surprisingly fun.

Sure, there are moments when finding the right transform or function can be a challenge. But as I’ve started producing more applications, it’s become clear: the more you build, the more you understand. The system rewards iteration.

What stands out is that Foundry manages to stay accessible without sacrificing depth. It doesn’t just help coders be more productive it actually makes learning itself interactive and engaging.

I’ve shipped a few apps already, and honestly once you understand how AIP fits into the workflow, it’s a powerful, even enjoyable toolset to work with.
