I have the Scheduling Gantt setup on Workshop and have dynamic scheduling setup between the resource and schedule objects. When I go to generate a task on a resource object, the object does not display on the Scheduling Gantt Workshop widget.
Hey Steven - going to ask a few clarifying question that should help my identify where the issue is occurring.
-
How are you generating the new task object (via pipeline, an action outside of the scheduling gantt chart, a right click action within the scheduling gantt chart, etc.)
-
Are you able to see the newly created object in Object Explorer or an Object Table? If so, is it linked to the correct Resource object?
-
Are you using Scenarios? This can be found by looking in the Scenarios section of the Scheduling Gantt Chart widget config.

I’m generating a new task using the shift hold drag method in the scheduling gantt widget.

I am able to see the new objects, how do I find that it is linked to the correct object?

I am using Scenarios, I tried turning it off too and didn’t work.
Thanks for sharing! Very helpful to know that you’re using “Drag to Create.” Below is an example configuration.
Action
Widget Configuration
One helpful tip is to use the widget provided variables in the action parameter defaults. We provided “selected start time” “selected end time” and “resource id.”
I configured it exactly how you showed it and it still didn’t work.
Is the property that links your schedule object to your resource object a string?
Are there objects that were not created via drag-to-create action? Do they appear on the chart?
I believe you said you said you used the Dynamic Scheduling Wizard in Ontology Manager Application. Want to confirm thats the case. This can be found in the Capabilities tab for the schedule object type.
Can you take a screen shot of the overview of the link between the two objects?
Yes it is a string. I have the name of the person linked to the name of the activity they’re supposed to be associated with.
There are no objects created that were not created via drag to create action. They do not appear on the chart.
Yes, I created that Dynamic Scheduling model via the wizard.
Might be helpful for us to set up a time to screen share and debug together. Do you consent to the community manager giving me your email so we can set-up a call?
Unfortunately, I am not using this on an unclassified system.
