Small Customization Improvements. Low effort? | High impact

There are plenty of grand new things that could be implemented in Foundry to make it better but I think that polishing some of the current functionalities would also be great and it might have been overlooked.

Specifically customization, we give up on it to gain development speed. I get it. But there are a few things that I believe could be low effort and high impact. Focused on Workshop.

  • Font size customization for: Section titles, Object tables, Object lists, Charts XY… When presenting to C-level boards you notice that age took a toll on their vision.
  • Copy/paste functionality for color formatting and numeric formatting (as in the ontology). Also, enabling preferred color palette for each Foundry instance would be awesome.
  • Customization of time series visualization in Chart XY as the rest of the options.
  • Section background color customization.
  • Aggregations between multiple time series of the same object set. Time range filter with timestamp variables.

A lot of this could be achieved by expanding/documenting the widget JSON configs found under “Raw widget configuration”.

While I can understand why allowing for full stylesheets is problematic, it would be great to get some more love for those of us who wants to make Workshop look beautiful and expensive.
