What We’re Trying to Do
We are building new object types on our ontology using a Global Branch. We need to create 8 new object types as part of a Phase 1 ontology build.
What’s Happening
We successfully created 6 object types on the branch. When we try to create the 7th, we get this error:
Error Message:.
Environment:
- Working on a Global Branch (not main)
- Current ontology entity counts (from Ontology Manager sidebar — see screenshot):
- Object types: 35 (but system reports 60/60 at quota)
- Link types: 60 (also at limit)
- Action types: 59 (1 away from limit)
However, our Ontology Manager sidebar clearly shows only 35 object types (see attached screenshot). The same issue affects link types — the sidebar shows 60 link types and we cannot create any more.
We also tried deleting existing visible object types to free up slots, but the error persists even after deletion.
Questions
-
What is the reason behind this behaviour? Why does the system report 60/60 when we can only see 35 object types in Ontology Manager?
-
How do we solve this or get rid of this error so we can continue creating new object types?
