Hi,
We are trying to access the client credentials to scope out using it. But it appears to be greyed out and we are unable to access the secret, or refresh it.
Any help on this ?
Thanks

Hi @Sathya07,
User management for Developer Tier enrollments is handled through the Control Panel’s user directory interface itself. The OIDC client credentials have restricted access for Developer Tier, which is why they appear greyed out.
If you are looking to bring your own SSO provider, that requires an Enterprise license.
More info on using user directories can be found here https://www.palantir.com/docs/foundry/authentication/user-directory.
Hi,
We now have access to an enterprise account, but the client credentials are still greyed out in the OIDC menu.
I am specifically talking about the Built-in authentication providers > Palantir self-service user directory > manage > OIDC > Client Credentials
We just want to explore how the built in auth provider works
Not sure how to proceed again, is it ideally supposed to be consumed or not ?
Thank you !
Hi @Sathya07,
Apologies for any confusion in my earlier response. The OIDC client credentials in the Palantir User Directories are restricted and will remain greyed out regardless of your enrollment type. This is by design for the built-in user directory.
To clarify:
Developer Tier: User management is handled exclusively through the built-in user directory
Enterprise: You have the option to either continue using the built-in user directory OR configure your own external SSO provider (SAML or OIDC)
If you want to integrate with your own SSO provider on your Enterprise enrollment, you’ll need to add a new authentication provider via Control Panel > Authentication rather than trying to use the credentials from the built-in user directory.
