United has collaborated with Palantir AIP to enhance its customer experience by ensuring reliable and efficient aircraft, facilities, and ground equipment management. Through the creation of the log page object in 2018, United’s TechOps data scientists, analysts, and technicians have been able to deliver actionable insights for predictive maintenance. One recent success involved improving in-flight Wi-Fi reliability using data-driven insights from an integrated monitoring and alerting system, which examines millions of heartbeats annually to proactively address connectivity issues. This approach has helped over 100,000 customers avoid delays and cancellations annually. United’s future plans include intelligent servicing, precise technician recommendations, and adaptive and active learning to optimize maintenance and continuously refine troubleshooting outcomes.
