Vim Movements Extension in VS Code Workspaces

Is it possible please to add a Vim Movements (inc. selection, search etc.) extension into the standard VS Code Extensions, or is there a way for me to install it please? I’ve searched the marketplace, but none appear available.

I realise I’m probably the only one using the Vim movement emulation in Code Repos, but not having that in VS Code makes it really hard to switch.

Thanks.

Hi,

We received this feature request couple times, so we will investigate if we can add this to our default extensions list. I’ll comment here once we have more update on this.

Thank you!

Cool, yes I’m sure white listing one of the popular Vim extensions would be enough.

Thanks

Hey @green, just updating you that the Vim extension has now shipped as part of VS Code in platform. :tada:
It is disabled by default but you can enable it by going to the Extensions panel (normally on the left hand side) and enabling it.

@rkaram , that’s excellent, thanks. Works on our instance.

Can I mark this thread as ‘solved’ somehow? As it’s not a Q&A but a vote.
