What version of the documentation does AIP Assist access?

When I query AIP Assist, does it search documentation (public documentation? in-platform mirror?) in real-time, or does it use a corpus of documentation that it was trained on which may not be up-to-date? If the latter, how do I know when was the latest time that AIP Assist’s corpus was refreshed?

The answer varies slightly based on the documentation in question as well as the AIP Assist mode selected. For preconfigured AIP Assist modes (AIP Assist, Documentation Assist, or Developer Assist) the standard documentation content (which is managed by Palantir) is re-indexed regularly so is a near real-time mirror.

And then any updates in Custom Documentation (published / registered with AIP Assist via a Documentation Code Repository or Notepad documents) are automatically propagated and updated in AIP Assist’s index for each of the preconfigured Modes (for instances where the custom content has been added to the search context of AIP Assist via Control Panel) as well as AIP Assist Agents.

Gotcha! As a follow-up clarification - does this re-indexing coincide with the propagation of the latest docs to Foundry environment documentation mirrors (which per https://community.palantir.com/t/which-are-more-up-to-date-www-palantir-com-docs-foundry-or-my-enrollment-domain-docs-foundry/1921/2 typically takes a few days relative to palantir.com), or is it a totally independent thing that happens on its own schedule? If the latter, does “near real-time” mean “on the order of days” or “on the order of hours/minutes” relative to the pushing of an update to palantir.com?

Great followup question. The reindexing (for AIP Assist) is independent of the propagation of new content to the the documentation mirrors but it is on a very similar timeline as it takes for updates to hit the in-platform documentation mirrors (per your linked question). So it is on the order of days after the public website and loosely coincides with (on the order of hours to, at most, days) the in-platform documentation mirrors (which is what AIP Assist provides as citations).
