Why doesn't AIP support the newer LLM models?

I’m curious why Foundry doesn’t support the latest models while apps like Cursor AI or Perplexity are supporting the newest LLM models very quickly. Existing models like GPT-O1 or 4O aren’t the latest cut-off, and it seems the most recent models such as o3 mini, grok3, and Anthropic Sonnet 3.7 aren’t being supported immediately. Is there a specific policy related to this? Thank you for reading!

Hi @fac7a5bb66119b7b9c34 ! :waving_hand:

Thank you for your question! At Palantir, our approach to supporting new LLMs involves a comprehensive process to ensure that each model within AIP meets our high standards before being offered to our customers.

This process includes implementing essential safeguards such as zero data retention where applicable, which are crucial for maintaining security and user trust. We aim to provide our users with peace of mind, knowing that any model we support has been thoroughly vetted to align with Palantir’s LLM standards.

While this means we may not always be able to support the latest models immediately upon their release, we are continually working to streamline our processes to provide access to the newest and most advanced LLMs as quickly and safely as possible.

All of that being said…We’re excited to share that an announcement is on the horizon, which will include some of the models you’ve mentioned. You should also be able to try out the Claude 3.7 Sonnet model today within your environment through Model Catalog and other applications such as AIP Logic!!
