With the launch of the new Associate exams on August 3 2026, are the old certifications still valid? Do I need to re-take the exam?
Excellent question! Old “Professional” level certifications remain valid for the duration stated on the certificate you obtained.
In the updated Certification Framework, Professional level certifications sit between Foundry Aware and the new Associate certifications. We encourage everyone to take the relevant new Associate exam, with more up-to-date questions aligned with the latest platform capabilities and expected skills. The Associate exams include refreshed Data Engineer and Application Developer exams, as well as the brand-new AI Engineer exam.
The new Associate exams are live on certification.palantir.com.

Please note that certification voucher codes issued before 3 August are not valid for the new exams. Please contact your Palantir POC for a new code. If you do not have a Palantir POC, for example because you are using a Dev Tier account, please file a Foundry issue from your Foundry environment.
